This is a game we really need to talk about. It's an old vertical shooter released by Capcom in arcades in 1986, and it marks the first appearance of Capcom's very first female protagonist, Michelle Heart, at least in the original japanese release, known as "Aresu no Tsubasa", or "The Wings of Ares". But there is an alternate english ROM set that replaces the palette swapped male players in the other one with Michelle Heart and Kevin Walker (2P character), but of the two english ROM sets, this isn't the one they used for Capcom Arcade Stadium. Michelle Heart would later go on to appear as a helper character in the original Marvel vs. Capcom, and appear in several other Capcom games plus as a card in "SNK vs. Capcom:Card Fighters Clash", and on the back of Falcon's jacket in Powerstone. But that's far from the most interesting things about it. Legendary Wings was designed by none other than Takashi Nishiyama, who later created Street Fighter, was the producer for Mega Man 1 (citation needed), and then later joined SNK where he would become one of the most prolific people in the company's entire history. Nishiyama's partner in crime, Hiroshi Matsumoto who also later joined SNK where he created stuff like Riding Hero (errrrrr) and other SNK titles (under the name Finnish Hiroshi) also worked on this game. There was an NES version released in July of 1988 exclusively in the US. The planner for the NES version was Akira Kitamura, who was also the planner for Mega Man 1 & 2, and it featured music by the original arcade game's composer Tamayo Kawamoto, as well as Manami Matsumae who did the music for Mega Man 1 and some of the music for Final Fight as well as various other Capcom games until about 1990. I think Keiji Inafune might have also worked on the NES port (citation needed).
