Cool Cool Jam is a Japan-only Neo Geo Pocket Color rhythm/instrumental game. It was released by SNK in the year 2000 on the same day as Cool Cool Toon for the Dreamcast. It was designed to link up with the DC game to unlock more costumes and characters.

The game follows the adventures of main characters Wav and Midi as they plan to start a band and also find their way home too. You must explore and play mini games to compose songs/music for your band. Instruments you play include - Guitar, saxophone, bluesharp, violin and your hands (clapping!)
There was an English sample of the game released to the press by SNK but it is just a short version of the game. It is available as a ROM and playable in emulators

I def wouldn't buy it after watching the video. Looks very basic even for a rhythm game and the music doesn't sound that great. I like the idea of playing multiple instruments though
