I recently bought the ACA version of this game for the Switch along with the ACA versions of Riding Hero and Zed Blade. This is a really fun and cool looking game. It is only recently that I have started playing the game frequently again and for the first time in a long time. I remember the first time I played this game was in the early 90's on a one slot MVS at Burger King that seemed to have a different game on it almost every single time we went there. One time it was Robo Army, another time it was King of the Monsters (or was that at Drug Fair? I don't remember it was a long time ago), and the last game I remember seeing on it was World Heroes 2. Well anyway, I remember the first time I saw this game I thought it looked so cool. And after that one time I saw it at Burger King, I never saw or heard anything about the game again for many years other than an appearance on Nick Arcade not too long after I first discovered it. But I remembered how cool I thought it was, and was hoping this would get a SNES or at least a SEGA Genesis port considering this was around the time I discovered that Neo Geo games were getting ported to the SNES and Genesis by companies like Sunsoft and Takara. But alas, that never happened. Fast forward to 1999-2000, I tried the AES version of the game via emulator so I didn't spoil myself from beating the whole game in one sitting seeing as I hadn't played or seen the game since the early 90's. When I revisited it, it didn't thrill me as much as it did back in the early 90's when I first saw it on that 1 slot MVS and that appearance on Nick Arcade. Recently, a few months back, I revisited it on the Neo Geo Mini, which I have owned since last year, and I enjoyed it a lot, and I had been planning on getting the Switch version for months, and I finally bought it earlier this month. It's great to be able to own this game to play on an actual game console. And being that I recently purchased the SNES controller for the Switch that is available to people with a Nintendo Online membership and that the SNES controller is compatible with the Neo Geo titles on the system, I can enact that fantasy I had as a child of that SNES port we never got, in addition to other Neo Geo games of that time that didn't get a SNES port.
