Maybe I should try and make another attempt to play through Crystalis again. The other times I attempted playthroughs I got very far and never had the motivation to finish it. Plus there are other games in SNK 40th Anniversary that I haven't beaten yet like Victory Road and Ikari III.

Yeah, go for it! I tried the same once, but like pretty much all games in the genre, never got very far.

I think my goal will be to 1CC Waku Waku 7.

And also to finish the 2nd level of Xeno Crisis on the default (hard) mode. When I played it for the HSC I couldn't manage to beat the first boss! I can do it on 2-3 credits but not 1 yet. Dammit! So my goal will be to beat the first boss and the 2nd one! Will need a 110% improvement in my play

It’s a lifetime goal, but I intend to beat Metal Slug 1 to 6 on a credit.
Absolute stretch goal is to beat them all in a single sitting, but that might not be possible!

I can beat 1 probably 4 out of five times I play it.

2 probably 1 in ten times (always the final boss that’s the problem!)

Never beaten the others. I’ll start again at 1, and post each time (or if?) I beat one…

I reckon Operation Ragnarok is on the cards for a 1cc too.
I’ve not put a massive amount of time into it, but it seems pretty beatable. Plus, what a soundtrack!

Outside of Neo Geo, I beat Streets of Rage 1 and 2 over the Christmas period, but I’ve done that loads of times over the years so not sure it counts?

I have an Armed Police Batrider PCB that I might well beat this year. Never got past level 6, but I think it’s doable.

Another couple to add to the ‘lifetime goals’ list, is beating the handful of Cave PCBs I have… Esp.Ra.De, Espgaluda and Espgaluda 2 and Guwange… I have Esp.Ra.De in a cab, but I’ve never got past level 4 on a credit. It’s brutally hard!!

It's really messed up when you need a walkthrough for a game like this. I repeat, I had to use a WALKTHROUGH for a friggin' ARCADE PLATFORMER, not an RPG.
