Hi everyone.
Just thought I would create an intro thread since I am after all a new member and also I hadn't been active for a few years at the previous site.
I've been a member of the negeoforlife.com forum since 2007.
My first Neo Geo experiences were playing Fatal Fury and World Heroes in arcades in Scotland in the first half of the 90s. World Heroes in particular made a big impression on me at the time with it's colourful graphics, large sprites and exotic character designs. Some years later I did finally buy the home system along with World Heroes 2. I couldn't afford any other games for a long time so put countless hours into that game. Still love it! Then later I discovered emulation (using NeoRageX) and was able to play all the games I could never afford.
I used to have quite a large AES collection of 40+ carts but ended up selling them. Then I got into NGCD, amassed an even bigger collection and sold them all too! Now I use emulation to play Neo Geo via a Raspberry Pi hooked up to my TV. I still do have three Capcom PCBs though that I will never sell.
I went through a period in the last 4-5 years of playing almost no arcade games and being heavily into PC gaming. RiKo coming up with the forum idea got me thinking about arcade games again and has reignited my enthusiasm for them.
Anyway thanks again to RiKo for coming up with the idea of starting this forum. Hope to see many of the NGFL regulars joining and hopefully some new members too.
