If someone has or is (like me) in the process of building a shrine to the almighty Neo, then I think it'd be neat to post it here for us all to see. I'll start with mine.
Okay, so I'd love to get ideas and opinions from you guys.
- I picked up that Nakoruru figure not too long ago. It's gorgeous... So much so that I'm wary of taking it out of the box! (I may get a second simply to actually have one properly displayed.) Anyway, it's meant to be a centerpiece of sorts, but being in the box and all kinda limits the effect.
- I'm thinking that if I get something to cover the buttons on my AES sticks, I can place two on each side of the top shelf with a pair of CD controllers in the center. However, that would mean CDs and such would definitely have to find a home elsewhere. (I'll talk about this more in a bit.)
- Does it look at all weird having the CD system jut out like that?
- My CMVS is in the postage box. I don't want to leave it exposed all the time to the "elements", but it looks awful as is. Any ideas?
- The CDs can fit on the top shelf if I shift all the shelves down a little, but a lot of space would be wasted behind them. (The shelves are deep enough that extra shockboxes can be easily be placed sideways behind my MVS games.) I'm also, again, not fond of having stuff exposed to the elements (even if they're in CD cases. You know, dust and all that getting in the little slots at top...) But they look just plain bad hanging around on top. So I'm unsure what to do about this.
- Mug and boxes: Better where they are or on the top? I do like how the mug looks where it is... (Also, the CD controller, when placed on the CD console box, makes a little stairway of sorts. I probably should have taken a picture of that so you'd see what I mean.)
The one thing I'm perfectly happy with is the MVS section. Yes, I'll be limited to about a dozen mooks and 31 titles, but if I keep the CD system, limiting myself to that won't be too difficult. (There are very few mooks that I want but don't own.)
Well, that's all for now. Let me know what you think!
P.S. Thanks, Riko! The mug you gifted me was actually what got this all started.
