ahh so lovely to see my fave neo geo mangs riko and merlin
my neo geo story:
like a fair few people my introduction to snk was actualy through the capcom snk crossover games.
i remember being young and seeing snk vs capcom match of the millenium for the neo geo pocket colour in my local electronics boutique store and looked at the box in wonder and realy wanted it, but i remember the console being only available in my local store for a short period and vanished. silly young me didnt remember even what the handheld was called.
fast forward to capcom vs snk 2 coming to the ps2, wow I remember being so excited to discover the world of snk. I was an addicted street fighter player, it had always been my fave gaming series.
but my hunger for more snk grew and was often reading articles and learning about the neo geo and the games via that world wide web thingy.
more games started to appear on the ps2 from snk and i collected them all and fell in love, but obviously i wanted to get my hands on neo geo consoles and collect as much as i could possibly.
I got a neo geo pocket colour with nearly the entire game catalogue as loose carts for my birthday, all that back then cost probably £70 at the most, we are talking early 2000s
then by christmas of that year it was the neo geo aes with fatal fury special, sam shodown 2, world heroes 2, 3 count bout. I was now in neo geo heaven with my collection.
I soon realised that aes carts were expensive and ended up getting a converter and started collecting loose mvs carts.
also I must say I joined the original neo geo for life once I had bought my aes and loved being part of the community on there and made some dear friends
so all that story was a long time ago, well over a decade.
fast forward to the present I still own all my neo geo and gaming collection but I play neo geo games on the convenient nintendo switch now
If you have read all this thank you
also my fave game on the neo geo and my fave game ever BREAKERS
Sorry for hijacking your thread merlin im a sausage
