Okay, let me just get this out of the way first:I'm not a fan of sports games or sports in general. I find alot of sports games to be either complicated, confusing, frustrating or all of the above. But this game along with Blades of Steel and NBA Jam are one of the only few I actually have fun playing everytime I play them. This was also the very first NG game I got for my Switch library when I finally got a Switch last November. The only other baseball game I was even this remotely good at was RBI Baseball on the NES (which is just an english localization of the first Famista game by Namco). Anyhow, this is a game that I would have in my dream 6 slot MVS cabinet if I had the money or the resources and the space in my living area to get one. Definitely a top 10 favorite title of all time in regards to the MVS/AES library for me. And the ACA version on the Switch is one of the only few times I ever use the save state feature being that the game is too long to finish in one sitting unless you are playing on an AES with a memory card, and it's good to be able to record your progress with a feature like that included for a game that would otherwise take you a long time to play all the way through in one sitting. Favorite teams are the Tokyo Samurais, the Metal Slashers, the Aussie Battlers and the Tropical Girls. And the music in the game is awesome too. Some of it was composed by SNK veterans Yasuo Yamane and Toshikazu Tanaka according to the MobyGames entry, but I don't know specifically which of the game's tunes they worked on. This would have made me want to save up to get an actual AES back in the day along with this game. That's how much I enjoy it. The Genesis version by Electronic Arts (which I beat last year with the Tropical Girls) would have been a decent substitute back then if I still didn't feel brave enough to get an AES when it was still being manufactured though.
