What's Your Primary Neo Geo System?

I usually play on my AES, but to be fair I tend to spare my AES games so I play the roms on the NeoSD cart instead. I guess that's a fair way to play the titles on real hardware.

But on very rare occasions I catch myself playing a King of Fighters on MAME instead, because a versus player is just nearby and we already have the controllers hooked on into the PCs from earlier gaming sessions.

My vote goes AES, but I collect and play CD too. Pocket also but only have 2 games so not much playing. Actually own more pocket systems than games, haha, 3 consoles and 2 games.

I only play on my AES. I don't use emulation for any consoles, just for old computers. I don't exactly know why tbh! I think I just like playing on the main TV. That's how a console game should be played imo - on a comfy chair a little way back from the screen

As I said in another thread : not using emulation does have the downside that I have only played the games I own. (e.g. never played the Sonic Wings games) BUT... also the upside that I get the anticipation, rush and excitement of buying and playing and experiencing a game for the first time



Sorry to hear that rodar. I can't see any reason why atm. Are you on a computer or desktop? Does it explicitly say on the screen you can't vote? There should be check boxes down the left of each option you can click on - do those appear?

Do Neo Geo games only have mvs mode on Switch? On Ps4 Neo Geo games only have mvs mode, i wish i could choose aes mode too.

Neo Geo Station games on Ps3 are also aes versions. I guess the games are being released as arcade archives on Ps4 and Switch and thats because games are mvs versions.

Interesting. I thought there would be more MVS collectors than AES.

Then again, the MVS collecting craze (and general price increases) seemed to really take off with the consolized MVS systems, and that would have been long after a lot of forum members had already gotten the bulk of their collections. I don't think many went the supergun route in the 2000s.
