I picked up the MVS Flash Cart recently, showed up in the mail two days ago and my initial impressions are great!
I decided to get a Flash Cart as I'm looking to minimize my possessions due to relocating back to Canada around the end of the year. Selling my MVS cart collection was a long and hard decision but I feel that I've made the right choice after the short period of time I've spent with this product.
Here are some of my thoughts for those interested:
It was super easy to install/update. Copied over the cart files as well as all Neo ROMS, plugged it in and turned it on with no issue.
The first time I turned it on the TV was flashing some crazy shit and I thought I may have followed the simple set-up instructions incorrectly but after a few seconds it booted. Guess it flashes weird TV snow when flashing the cart so all good/normal.
Menu is simple and has a lot of options, flashing the games is straight forward and FAST, again crazy screens when it does it.
It acts as a three slot cab and switching between games is as simple as holding start + left/right. Holding start + Up will take you back to the main menu.
Navigating the games is responsive and you have the option for lost or thumbs, very slick.
The only thing I didn't like was the menu's music, theme from Beverly Hills Cop, haha, but they have a setting to turn it off as well as a few other tracks...thank God as it was getting on my nerves within seconds...why not choose some Neo music!?
Lastly, I was considering the NeoSD Pro but due to the higher cost, slower loads, confusing updating (Via cart serial number) as well as reputation for poor customer service went with Darksoft. All in all very happy with my purchase, cost about $450, and I'm looking forward to playing the hell out of it for many years to come! Couldn't recommend it enough, A+.
